Welcome to My Evil Lair

7/9/25 - First Post? I Don't Know What I'm Doing!

Haven't done much today. Recently, I've been trying to find more productive pastimes than wallowing and being miserable. This website is one of those things. Alongside that, though, I've gotten back into actively modding one of my favorite video games, Rain World. I only create levels and art assets myself, and I'd like to eventually get into coding, but I should really be focusing on the level making aspect first.
Most of my level editing effort lately has gone into my region that I'm currently working on, Stone Heap. Not sure if that name will stick considering I'm only around 1/5 or 1/6 of the way through the creation of the region, but it gets the point of what it's supposed to be across. As you can see from the screenshot below, it's a dark region made of stone and bricks with bright lavender plants to contrast the darkness. It's not creative at all, if I'm being honest. The whole style of it is even based on one of the base game regions, Shaded Citadel. It was my favorite region ever since I first played the game in 2019.

I've been really slow with the development of the region, especially since I took a half year break in level creation. I hardly have anything to do right now, though, so it shouldn't be too hard to keep working on it. I've got another modding project in the works alongside it, but that one's a secret. It helps to have something to break away from working on rooms with the same formula. Not much else to say for now! Have a screenshot of a one screener I'm working on for VM (the region acronym for Stone Heap) that I think will turn out pretty neat when I'm done with it.
